crochet lace

ometimes I make some lace for some project, but never use it. Because when I'm finished with it, it doesn't  fit anymore. The gray one I made for a scarf, but it turned out to be longer then needed. The white one I made to decorate a blouse but in the lace the color was different from expected one. So now those beautiful laces are waiting for another thing to fit. 

my new bracelet makeover

Inspired by my previous bracelet redo I made another one. I had a really nice bracelet with pearl and glass beads. Attaching a chain made a sweet little statement necklace which I wear much often than I wore the bracelet.

crochet I Phone case

Recently I showed beginning of a wok on my IPhone case. Wanted to try a bobble stitch and that was easy with youtube. I like this case have a simple form but interesting texture thanks to that stitch.

Couldn't resist that fashion on crochet stones and made some. I liked the process and the result. They looks so good at home. I actually like stones as they are, but crochet makes them more cute.

And today I want to show you process of making my brooches from the previous post. It's not a masterclass because I'm not a professional in resin, but I think making it was fun especially when you do in with your friends.

And today I want to show you brooches I made recently.  That was a new technique for me, because it wasn't a crochet or felting.  It was my first experience in epoxy resin jewelry. I found that process very interesting and result was also quite appealing. It gave me another perspective on a jewelry making.

necklace redo

Ok, perhaps that's not exactly "redo", I just had an old necklace I never worn but liked for it's gold glitter. Also long time ago I bought seed beads and charms and didn't know in which project use them. And now, everything found it's own place and I have a nice little necklace.

Recently I had a sudden inspiration. I realized how many beads I have but never use them, how many old necklaces and bracelets I'm not going to wear again. And that's was a lot to up cycle. So today I show you the first example – my new summer necklace made of old bracelet and some random beads left from other projects or occasionally bought on sale.

furniture redo

Today I want to share with you one inspirational project which is not mine but my mothers. Buffet and chair redo. Actually my mother didn’t plan to show it somewhere in internet so there is no photos “before” or of process. But I have a picture of a wardrobe, which is of the same condition and age just for you to have an idea of how that piece of furniture looked. First the buffet and stool were sanded, than covered with paint and were sanded again to give a little shabby look. The drawings are of my mother’s design and drawn by acrylic paint.

postcards

I love paper so much and cannot stand to buy some nice pieces though don’t use them. But recently had a good chance to make postcards for one of spring holydays. So I put together rise paper I bought in China, paper for scrapbooking, crepe paper I used for making flowers and plain white sheets of office paper.  And voila, I have two postcards with flowers. Gray one was made according this tutorial. 

my handmade

At my mother's home I found a perfect place for me to style the things I make. Lots of linen, nice colors, lovely wicker basket. And here is the result.

crochet scarf

This crochet scarf I made for my friend. Design in my head was a bit different, but yarn changed a lot, as usual for me. It is 100% mercerized cotton. I also made a little rose brooch to fix the scarf on desirable length.

felt necklaces

These are my felt necklaces. Really love the texture and colors. I think felting gives a lot of shape and color opportunities for jewelry. Dreaming to make more felt projects soon.
